This article applies to AVR model DVRs.


  1. Download the XVR VMS software using this link.
  2. Run the application and install the software. Once the software is successfully installed, double click the VMS icon to launch the software.
  3. To add your DVR, select Device Manager under General Functions.
  4. On the bottom of the screen, click the Manual Add button and fill in the following information:
    1. Device Name: This can be anything and is only for your reference
    2. Group: You can leave Default Group selected
    3. Login Type: IP/Domain should be selected
    4. IP/Domain: Enter the IP address or DDNS domain for your DVR.
    5. Port: The default port is 34567. You should use this value unless you have changed the default port.
    6. UserName: The default username is Admin. You should use this value unless you have changed the default username.
    7. Password: Use the password that was configured for your DVR
    8. Vender: XM
    9. Once you have entered all the required information, click Save and Continue.

Once you have completed the steps above, you should be able to view live and recorded video using the VMS software.
